Remove the disguise...Awaken

From the abundance of my heart and with true love, and gentleness I say...I have tasted but a little of what it feels like to get high, but not the kind of high gotten from drugs, alcohol, sex, or receiving money; yes those give some form of high, but those of us who have been on those mountains can also testify of the dark, unpleasant  and downright soul-shaking valleys we've walked shortly after...some of us still do. I speak of a high that puts a light in your eyes (almost speechlessly), that stirs up something real and  true in the soul, that puts a sudden dance  in your steps, that fill your words with grace, that moves your heart to love and compassion, and causes your heart to beat with the rhythm of life, joy, and true freedom...creation is more beautiful, colors are brighter, music is sweeter...you want to take hold of it forever and never lose it. I wonder,.. why do those times seem so delicate? one moment here and the next it's almost like a shadow?  I am convinced it's because of the chains; for some its external and internal, for others it's internal, and for some others its external. If we purely and truly each search within ourselves...we will see them; some of us are already painfully aware of them.We cannot ignore the chains... the emptiness? the loneliness? the worries? the fears? the anxieties? the sadness? They get tighter with time. So how can we break free? who or what will deliver us?  Can Myself? Father? Mother? Sister? Brother? Friend? Enemy? Stranger? ...As much as they may love and care, on my end it has not worked enough so far, how about yours?  Okay wait, how about Pills? Money? Sex? Food? Suicide? I have only seen chains replace chains,and you?  Oh no!!  Here comes the cast down look, the despair and depression...Put your head up, Lift up your eyes, Open your ears, Listen with your heart...
" Ho! Everyone who thirsts,Come to the waters,
And you who have no money,Come, buy and eat ...
Without money and without price.
Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Hear, and your soul shall live; And i will make an everlasting covenant (promise, agreement)
with you--
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD God,
And He will have mercy on him, and to our God, For He will abundantly pardon...
For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the
field shall clap their hands."
I hear the call too...i know and feel the chains within me...they are real
This is the  call of Christ Jesus...called the Lover of Our souls... and the one who also said "It is finished."  What? even the past pains, sorrow, disappointments? even the present? and what about the future?... "Behold, I make ALL things new".  Why do those who have truly risen up in courage and taken hold of it with Love and humility pledge their life to Him?...there is an  answer...because it is tried, tested and  true...in a world where everything is shaky.
This is not religion... No, ...this is LIFE...and here we are

Remember the beginnings...

This past July 4th as I watched the celebratory programs on TV,  I was compelled to reflect once again on the kind of spirit that can be stirred up in this wonderful nation, the United States of America. As history was revisited and the future pondered, there were the undeniable imprints of Love, Hope and Faith, which are said to be forever present. My thoughts became filled with a mix of gladness... sadness..., and again gladness. Gladness because I was encouraged by the past; sadness because I was discouraged by the insanities of the present...of which i am not blameless; and more gladness because of hope for the future. My heart cries out in love... let pride be laid aside! let bitterness be cast off! Let Love, Truth, Compassion, Forgiveness, and Mercy flow abundantly!! Against these there is NO law.  If only a nation will humble themselves and pray, turn from wicked ways and seek the face of the God of the Universe whose name is Jehovah and in His Christ, every iniquity will be forgiven and the sickness in the land will be healed; every bond will be LOOSED! and FREEDOM will reign! It will begin with a stronger INDIVIDUAL! then stronger RELATIONSHIPS! then a stronger NATION! What enemy can then prevail?
